Educational Qualification & Eligibility

Candidates must be fresh law graduates or postgraduates in Law from a University, College or Institution established by law in India. Candidates appearing in the final semester may also apply but must submit their final passing result before the final selection process. Applicants must possess research aptitude, good knowledge of research tools, working knowledge of computers and typing skills. Candidates must satisfy the other eligibility and character requirements prescribed in the Scheme for Engaging Legal Researcher by RSLSA.

Selection Process

Scrutiny of applications followed by screening and/or interview by the Selection Committee constituted by the Hon'ble Executive Chairman, Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority. Shortlisting may take into account research achievements, academic record, computer skills and other prescribed criteria. Suitability may be assessed on the basis of research and academic record, language and communication skills, and computer proficiency.

Download the prescribed application form and Scheme for Engaging Legal Researcher from the official RSLSA website. Complete and sign the application, affix a recent coloured passport-size photograph taken within the preceding six months, and attach self-attested copies of documents supporting age, educational qualifications, extracurricular activities, experience and other relevant credentials. Include the prescribed checklist and submit the application in an envelope marked 'APPLICATION FOR THE LEGAL RESEARCHER'. Send it by Speed Post, Registered Post or courier, or deliver it by hand during office hours to the Member Secretary, Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority, Jaipur Vidhik Seva Sadan, Rajasthan High Court Campus, C-Scheme, Jaipur, Rajasthan - 302005. The application must reach the office by 31 October 2026. Only one application form should be enclosed in each envelope. The selected candidate must undertake not to practise in any court or engage in any other professional pursuit during the engagement.
